POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Supervisor of Infrastructure at NMDP, you’ll play a key leadership role in overseeing and advancing our telephony, call center, and collaboration tools across the organization. You will leverage your expertise in solution design, architectural best practices, and emerging technologies to drive the enterprise's technology vision forward. NOTE - this is a HYBRID role which combines 'Work From Home and Work On Premise As Needed' at our Headquarter location in Downtown Minneapolis. Typical schedules would likely require at least 60% of work be delivered while working on site.
In collaboration with senior management, you will align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives, ensuring our collaboration environment remains secure, reliable, and cost-effective. As a hands-on leader, you will manage a team of engineers responsible for deploying, operating, and supporting infrastructure solutions that meet NMDP’s mission and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, engineering, and technology selection for voice, contact center, and collaboration systems.
- Drive quality, standardization, automation, and innovation across infrastructure technologies.
- Oversee the daily operations of the infrastructure team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of secure and reliable services.
- Manage all aspects of the infrastructure lifecycle, including hardware and software selection, licensing, and upgrades.
- Supervise staff hiring, training, and performance management to cultivate a highly skilled, collaborative team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provides direct management to Infrastructure personnel. Ensure efforts complete on time and that obstacles are quickly addressed and resolved.
- Develops ongoing team maturity through establishing a team culture of trust, healthy debate, commitment, accountability, and results. Acts as a great team coach.
- Results focused. Ensures that infrastructure personnel have clear, measurable, and valuable goals defined and are accountable to those goals.
- Provides ongoing research and analysis activities to investigate new technologies and tools which might be used by company infrastructure personnel to perform their job functions more effectively and efficiently.
- Hires, supervises, reviews, coaches, and trains staff, ensuring successful IT services and project delivery.
- Monitors and escalate situations to his/her management which could impact service level objectives
- Proactively leads the team that maximizes each system’s usability for the intended purpose by performing defined and ad-hoc maintenance tasks, monitoring system performance and evaluating trouble areas, and monitoring for predictive failure indicators and addressing/escalating them.
- Assigns work to team and monitors workflow for various projects. Monitors team workload and resources adjusting as needed to meet business requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams that oversee infrastructure changes across the enterprise to improve communication and coordination among IT teams and initiatives
- Manages and tracks computer hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle in a fiscally responsible manner.
- The role may require access to Personal Medical Information protected by multiple security and privacy regulations. Personnel are required to control this data in a manner outlined in the NMDP Information Security Policy and NMDP Donor and Patient Confidentiality SOP.
- In addition to the above-mentioned essential functions, the Supervisor, Infrastructure will consistently demonstrate and be evaluated on the following qualitative management characteristics:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Must have extensive experience with infrastructure related products and services, application packaging and delivery methodologies, automation processes and procedures, vendor management, licensing agreements, etc.
Ability to:
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to effectively multitask in a multi-priority environment, are required.
- Motivate and lead a team of IT professionals.
- Must exemplify our NMDP Standards.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Information Services, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Engineering, or equivalent in work experience, combined with five years on the job experience.
- Five years of engineering/consulting experience driving infrastructure technology in a corporate environment, (experience in a healthcare related field is helpful).
- Must have extensive experience with infrastructure related products and services, application packaging and delivery methodologies, automation processes and procedures, vendor management, licensing agreements, etc.
- Technical knowledge must include: Cisco Unified Communications, Webex Calling, Contact Centers, Webex Meetings, Webex Devices, Conference
- Room Technology, Network Circuits, SIP Trunking.
