REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Strong understanding of AWS networking, storage, and compute services.
  • Networking concepts, including IP addressing, virtual networks, and load balancing.
  • Proficiency in tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes for automating tasks and managing infrastructure.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat identification, vulnerability assessment, and security best practices.
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies and their applications in cloud environments.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud security principles and experience implementing secure cloud architectures.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. 

Ability to:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Program, problem solve, and communicate skills to effectively design, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems.
  • Ability to create, install, troubleshoot, and manage cloud-based applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills at a senior level.  
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure.
  • Analyze situations, make informed decisions, and develop effective solutions.
  • Adapt to and learn new technologies with the changing cloud environments.  

Education and/or Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field is required. However, equivalent related experience and/or education may be considered as a substitute for the degree requirement upon evaluation.
  • 5 or more years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least two years of experience focused on AWS.
  • Experience working in environments with sensitive data and regulatory compliance requirements. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration) 

  • AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) preferred.
