REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • The SalesForce CRM platform
  • The cell and gene therapy marketplace
  • The technical differences among C&GT therapeutic approaches
  • The C&GT conference landscape
  • Proven sales and account management skills

Ability to:

  • Closes new contracts and cultivate additional Lives/Revenue opportunities with existing clients.
  • Develops long term and highly productive relationships with marketplace stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of the cell and gene therapy marketplace.
  • Interprets business goals and develop the business strategies and tactics to achieve them.
  • Negotiates contracts with clients.
  • Results oriented and focused to assess customer needs and market trends within the context of product and business capabilities and translate assessment into workable strategy.
  • Collaborates across internal stakeholder groups.
  • Is a creative problem solver.
  • Acts in a highly responsive, pro-active, and accurate way to support existing customers.
  • Can work in a growing business environment which requires self-development, a flexible attitude, and an entrepreneurial mentality.
  • Acts as both the “in house” and external representative of the company with our accounts.
  • Communicates in a convincing manner both verbally and in writing, have a strong meeting presence and assert oneself with a sense of confidence, conviction, and enthusiasm.
  • Possesses a sense of urgency, ability to meet deadlines and function independently with minimal supervision.

             

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or health care related field or other subject area related to position, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Eight years progressively responsible experience in business development to include three years in a leadership role.  Experience in leading teams and working with committees is also required.

Other Requirements: 

  • Some travel required (approximately 8-10 trips per year, of approximately 2-3 days per trip).
