REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Building operations and facility management.
- Detailed project management principles.
- Emergency response, OSHA and safety compliance.
- Budget preparation and financial reporting.
- Expertise in office technology, including security, building automation, and financial databases.
Ability to:
- Work independently with a strong sense of initiative and drive for results.
- Lead team members and service providers.
- Use complex reasoning skills to think strategically/critically.
- Proactively address issues and solve problems.
- Prepare and manage a budget.
- Develop processes, document and implement requirements.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Guide business leaders through decisions impacting their facility/space.
- Communicate professionally (oral and written).
- Must be able to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
- Able to work extended hours and evening/weekend hours when needed for special events or emergency situations.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in facility management, business or related field or Associate degree and 5+ years’ experience in corporate office environment.
- 5+ years’ building operations and facility management experience.
- Previous experience providing work direction for teammates and service providers.
- Substantial experience managing high-profile repair and capital projects.
- Extensive process development, documentation, and improvement experience.
- Proficient in MS Office software.
- Previous experience in AutoCAD and IWMS; experience in other FM databases.
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)
- Certificate/designation in Facility Management.
- Preferred experience in healthcare settings and critical environments.
