Senior Vendor Specialist - Remote

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

• Vendor management concepts and implementation techniques for vendor performance monitoring
• Best practices for implementing vendor management with quality and operations teams
• Contract terminology with the ability to review contracts, MSA, SLA and procurement documentation
• Biological sciences and biotechnology industry
  • Including but not limited to: infectious disease testing, genetic screening, apheresis, cell product characterization and supply chain

Ability to:

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and organization staff
• Provide a high degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision or oversight
• Provide a high level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
• Influence vendors through excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, very detail oriented
• Apply multiple lenses to analyze complex interdependencies, scenarios, and tradeoffs
• Consistently drive projects to completion while taking accountability for work and results with demonstrated good judgment and strong decision-making skills
• Be a self-starter that can quickly assess situations and react or direct appropriately
• Demonstrated ability to assess root issues and provide excellent viable solutions for the business and to the customer.
• Ability for occasional travel <10%

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Human Services or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing a portfolio of vendors, which includes, but is not limited to, vendor management, relationship management, service level agreements and contract administration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)

• Direct CGT industry experience
• Advanced degree or business degree preferred but not essential
