Senior Director & Chief Architect - Hybrid/Remote
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or other relevant frameworks.

Reporting and Collaboration:
- Reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, technology teams, and other key stakeholders to understand business requirements and align technology solutions.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including software development, infrastructure, security, and data management teams, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of technology initiatives.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and executive teams on technology strategy, project status, and architectural governance.
- Collaborate with the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure compliance with architectural standards, assess technology proposals, and guide technology decision-making. The Chief Architect is accountable for and chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB)
- Work closely with project managers and delivery teams to provide technical guidance, resolve architectural issues, and ensure successful implementation of technology solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to evaluate technology offerings, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment by promoting knowledge sharing, cross-team collaboration, and best practice adoption.
- Act as a technical advisor and consultant to business stakeholders, providing guidance on technology trends, emerging solutions, and architectural considerations.
- Participate in industry forums, conferences, and networking events to stay informed about industry trends and leverage external expertise for organizational benefit.

Education and/or Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Advanced degrees such as a master's degree in a relevant field or an MBA with a focus on technology management is preferred.
- Professional certifications in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or related areas (e.g., TOGAF, CISSP, PMP) are advantageous.
- 15+ years of technology experience
- 10+ years of leading technical teams
- 10+ years of experience as a Solutions or Enterprise Architect with experience creating an organizational technology strategy and roadmap.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a leadership role as a Chief Architect, an Enterprise Architect or in a similar position.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Proficiency in system architecture, design, and development principles across various technology domains.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends, with the ability to assess their impact on the organization.
- Experience in risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity within the context of technology initiatives.
- Strong track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects and initiatives on time and within budget.
- Ability to think strategically, make informed decisions, and solve complex technical problems.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and translate business needs into technology solutions.
