Senior Data Architect - Remote
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Advanced proficiency in Data Analysis and Data Modeling of OLTP systems using ERD and/or UML modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in using PowerDesigner (strongly preferred) or other modeling tools.
- Experience in data pipelines and integration techniques using variety of ETL tools and/or messaging.
- Experience with two or more database platforms including SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, and Snowflake
- Advanced Experience in SQL, Transact SQL, and PL/SQL development.
- Data Governance practices
Ability to:
- Demonstrate strong technical skills and the ability to understand business strategy and implement that vision through technology.
- Be a forward thinker with an enquiring mind and the ability to grasp the diversity of our systems and network, and the ability to make recommendations and implement solutions.
- Identifying cost optimization for cloud databases
- Create scripts to modify database structure in support of new features.
- Support business users who query data directly for their roles (data quality team)
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and awareness of business requirements determining database design.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills.
- Strong ability to assess complex situations, set priorities and implement action plans.
- Demonstrate strong organization skills, and able to work in a team environment.
- Exhibit an attitude of positive determination and accountability.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Business with an emphasis in Management Information Technology. However, upon evaluation, equivalent related experience and/or education may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT experience in software engineering or analysis roles.
- Minimum of 5 years of Data Modeling & Architecture experience.
