REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Key Knowledge:
- Biology knowledge base.
- Understanding of bioinformatics and statistical modeling techniques and applications for high volume data, clinical associations, and best transplant match guidelines.
- Best coding practices.
Key Skills:
- Advanced coding and documentation skills and in-depth knowledge for handling of complex datasets.
- Must be fluent in at least one modern programming language used for Bioinformatics (Python, R, Java, Ruby, Perl) and be able to work with the others.
- Must have skills working with SQL and noSQL databases (Mongo, Neo4j, Redis) and DevOps (UNIX, cloud computing, docker).
- Experience with quality assurance/validation, innovation in application of methodologies, and ability to troubleshoot and reproduce analyses.
- Ability, desire, and initiative to learn and teach new skills as needed.
Other Requirements:

- Must demonstrate clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication skills.

Education and/or Experience:
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Digital Health or related technical field that required extensive statistical and scientific analysis as part of the degree program. Equivalent experience or record of accomplishments may be considered for promotion of Senior Bioinformatics Scientists.
- Eight years’ experience delivering science and technology research and applications. Publication track record appropriate to level of experience. Proven record and recognition of scientific leadership
