POSITION SUMMARY:

This leader will oversee staff performance, data management systems, procedural updates, workflow, metrics and goals and will provide strategic leadership for registry operations and execution. This role provides leadership and direction to Data Operations team members by establishing innovative processes and partnering with project teams, external stakeholders and data management teams. Responsible for monitoring overall timelines and deliverables.  This position can be hybrid in Minneapolis or remote (US).  #LI-Hybrid #LI-Remote

ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

Manage Team:

  • Provides orientation, training, coaching, development and evaluation of performance of assigned team members.
  • Establish trust and cultivate engagement, fostering a culture of inclusiveness
  • Drives consistency with career pathways and project responsibilities.
  • Provides guidance and expertise to team members and elevates issues when appropriate.
  • Assigns workload for team members, monitors coverage needs and ensures workload balance.
  • Fosters a collaborative working relationship with other functional areas, providing gratitude and recognition, staying informed about changes, sharing knowledge learned, documenting decisions
  • In collaboration with the Senior Leader, creates, builds and maintains a team environment which supports the mission and strategy of the NMDP/Be The Match.

 

Execute Processes:

  • Ensures staff are executing work in compliance to ICH/GCP guidelines and in accordance with internal SOPs
  • Lead and actively participate in the implementation and execution of data operations projects and business as usual
  • Point of escalation for project issues, provides a key role in problem solving, works with leadership to develop solutions, and responsible for issue resolution.
  • Track and report to CIBMTR leadership on compliance, trends, and study metrics.
  • Oversees staffing and workflow to align with project timelines and goals

 

Business Process Owner for Primary Technical Solutions:

  • Work with development/application teams to ensure application(s) meets functional needs, aligns with regulatory requirements and quality best practices
  • Participate in requirements gathering and sign off
  • Assign or perform user acceptance testing, Business validation

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of: 

  • Project Management Fundamentals
  • Advanced written, oral, and presentation communication skills.

 

Ability to: 

  • Communicate clearly and effectively to staff and management through oral and written formats, tailoring communication to internal and external audiences
  • Optimize resources effectively to meet timelines and deadlines
  • Work proactively, take initiative and assess operational risk
  • Problem-solve in complex situations
  • Create and maintain project timelines based on goals, objectives, and scope in order to identify tasks, timelines, and required resources for a study
  • Create, review critically, and provide feedback on quality system documents including Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Job Aids

 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific or health related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct people management experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration) 

  • Experience querying relational databases via MS or Oracle SQL
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology
  • Master’s Degree in scientific or health-related field
  • ACRP or SOCRA certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Data Management
  • Clinical knowledge of cellular therapies and/or hematopoietic stem cell transplant
  • Clinical knowledge of blood and tissue cancers; immune diseases
