REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Principles of coordinating delivery of critical sole-source medical products such as human blood and tissue, including related regulatory requirements, using couriers and commercial carriers preferred.
- Basic medical knowledge of stem cell transplantation and product handling for protection from blood borne pathogens. Understands the principles of confidentiality in a medical setting.
- Knowledge of US Customs Regulations, FDA, DEA, USDA, and import/export procedures.
- Understanding of DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations for the transportation of hazardous materials and dangerous goods.
Ability to:
Demonstrate the following:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including OneNote.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and NetCHB customs application.
- High capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced interpersonal skills, relationship focused and strong service orientation.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Advanced organizational skills with a high level of detail and quality focus.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or healthcare field. On evaluation, equivalent education and/or experience in a relevant position may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Three years combined experience in a quality-controlled environment in two or more of the following Operations disciplines: International trade and logistics; Coordination and scheduling of product deliveries and shipments; Travel industry and booking practices; Supplier management; and/or Volunteer coordination. On evaluation, previous experience in a relevant position in an NMDP department may be substituted for the experience requirement.
