POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Contracts & Procurement - Category Partnerships will be accountable for leading and expanding our procurement oversight within key industry categories. This leadership position will be responsible for cultivating, negotiating, and managing high-value partnerships with external organizations, stakeholders and service providers to drive business growth, innovation, and revenue. Additionally, this position leads a team of procurement partnership professionals, guiding them to success in executing strategic initiatives, cultivating relationships, and achieving partnership goals. To be successful in this role it requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the market landscape, excellent negotiation abilities, and a passion for building collaborative relationships to create long-term value for the company.  This position is onsite at our World Headquarters.  #LI-Onsite

ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for category partnerships, identifying and targeting key vendors and opportunities within relevant procurement categories.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of partnership managers and professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to ensure continuous growth and success.
  • Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and nurture long-term relationships with key partners, acting as a trusted advisor to external organizations, senior executives, and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiation & Deal Structuring: Lead the negotiation and structuring of partnership deals, ensuring alignment with overall business goals while optimizing financial and strategic outcomes.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities within assigned categories to identify emerging opportunities and potential areas for growth.
  • Partnership Performance: Track the performance of existing partnerships, identifying opportunities for optimization, renewal, and expansion. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress and key performance metrics.
  • Brand Representation: Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, representing the company with professionalism, thought leadership, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Innovation & Value Creation: Develop innovative partnership models that drive unique value propositions for both the company and partners, ensuring sustained growth and competitive differentiation.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge of:

    • Deep understanding of the market landscape and trends within assigned categories (e.g., IT, Marketing, Transplant Centers, etc.).
    • Effective people management skills, including coaching, performance management, and team-building.
       

    Ability to:

    • Inspire, develop, and lead a team of professionals.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making and optimize procurement outcomes.
    • Deliver results and meet/exceed revenue targets.
       

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
    • 7+ years of experience in procurement development, category management, or strategic partner relationship management, with a proven track record of leading and growing successful partnerships within a corporate or agency environment.
    • 5+ years of team leadership experience

To support this commitment, we provide clear and upfront information about the salary range for this position. The anticipated salary range for this role is $169,000-190,000 and will be commensurate with market pay, experience and qualifications.
