Development Director - Remote
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Proven ability to raise five to six figure gifts from individuals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of writing successful proposals, solicitations and reports.
- Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, CRM or comparable database software.
Ability to:
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication.
- Communicate effectively and demonstrate good listening skills.
- Influence effectively. Take initiative, is energetic and self-directed.
- Demonstrate strong personal drive to accomplish goals and achieve results that exceed expectations.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate proficiency in word processing software skills.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare, communications or related human service field.
- Five years of progressive experience in development, sales, and/or financial services that includes identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individuals or organizations for major and planned gift opportunities.
Other Requirements:
- Available for 50% travel; must have a valid driver’s license. This position requires travel throughout the Midwest east of the Mississippi River and the Southeast up to North Carolina.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)
- CFRE or other professional related certifications preferred.
