REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Strong working knowledge of clinical trial database design and management, including clinical programming experience.  Proficiency in computer skills across multiple applications. 
  • Database programming experience designing studies and data validation programming.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong working knowledge of good clinical data practices, including ICH and FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11.  

Ability to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of clinical data structures and communicate database design concepts to clinical study teams
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, written and oral, with people of all technical levels. 
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to communicate, advocate, negotiate, listen and partner with a variety of individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Work both independently and in a complex team environment.  Ability to manage multiple tasks. 
  • Demonstrate skills in prioritization, problem solving, organization, decision-making, time management and planning. 
  • Acquire and apply new technical skills

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or Life Sciences/Healthcare/science related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Four to five years or more experience with clinical data management including three years’ experience in database design and edit check programming

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)

  • Knowledge of blood and marrow transplant clinical research and medical field.
  • Holds relevant SCDM, ACRP, or SOCRA certification.
