REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Basic understanding of patient case management techniques.
- Basic understand of effective customer service principles.
- Data privacy and confidentiality principles for handling medical information.
- Proficient in using multiple software applications including Microsoft Office.
Ability to:
- Ability to influence decision making based on the best available information.
- Deal with change and manage multiple priorities.
- Deliver critical patient case information utilizing effective communication skills.
- Ability to participate in after-hours on-call rotation
- Availability to work up to 6pm CT as workload requires.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Healthcare, science, or a related field preferred or Associate Degree with equivalent business experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare or science environment with at least six months of experience related to patient interaction/care, vendor relationship management or patient interaction or care preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must successfully complete and pass the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) course in no more than 2 years’ total time spent either as a Case Manager, International Case Manager, Case Manager Float or in a combination of the three roles.
- Ability to participate in on-call after hours on-call rotation
