REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft office software (specifically Excel)
  • Data Quality skills in data profiling, data discovery, cost-benefit analysis/ROI, and root cause analysis.
  • Analytics/metric concepts, metric visualization and understanding of metric insights
  • Data systems (Sales Force, Oracle databases, other database systems), data quality approaches and data aggregation/manipulation tools.
  • Data Visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker

 

Ability to:

  • Improve the accuracy, usability, and effectiveness of NMDP data by working cross-functionally with teams that manage upstream data and with data engineers to implement changes
  • Be a strong data steward for NMDP operational data 
  • Display data visually, creating powerful presentations and stories which effectively quantify and justify value created to both analytical and non-analytical audiences
  • Lead and speak courageously, challenge ideas and propose alternatives
  • Grasp the diversity of our systems and network and the ability to make recommendations and implement solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills dealing with people of different cultures and styles 
  • Advanced communication skills to include writing and oral abilities to connect with a wide range of people
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem solving with a strong customer focus
  • Work on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Work and deliver under tight timeframes
  • Work on complex projects with multiple stakeholders

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health care, finance, economics, math/statistics, business analytics or computer science. However, upon evaluation, equivalent, related experience and/or education may be substituted for the degree requirement. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of data visualization, data analysis and data quality experience.
