POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Access Partnerships Consultant, you will leverage your clinical expertise in Hematology Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to build new strategic partnerships within integrated delivery and provider networks and among key stakeholders in the ecosystem. This is a new position which will play a pivotal role in advancing our organization’s mission to increase access to transplant. You will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and advancing strategic partnerships that will allow NMDP to reach patients earlier in their disease through our access programs and resources and ultimately have meaningful impact on patient experience and outcomes.
This role will work across the US and collaborate closely with NMDP’s local provider partnership (LPP) team responsible for managing relationships with regional transplant centers and community practices. Effective communication and collaboration between the Access Partnerships Consultant and the LPP team is essential to ensure a seamless experience.
An ideal candidate will possess robust clinical expertise in both hematology oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), coupled with comprehension of the treatment landscape and barriers to accessing BMT. Success in this role requires confidence in articulating clinical knowledge, engaging in research discussions, and adeptly navigating business conversations at the executive leadership level. The ability to foster trust and exert influence, both internally and externally, is crucial. Additionally, the candidate should feel comfortable navigating ambiguity, working independently, and adapting to change. This is a remote position (US). #LI-Remote

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Pursue New Partnership Opportunities:
- Travel 20-40% of the time to identify and pursue new partnership opportunities with integrated delivery and provider networks and other key stakeholders across the hematology oncology and BMT ecosystem.
- Attend conferences and thought leadership events to network, explore collaboration opportunities, and stay informed about industry trends.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME):
- Act as a trusted internal and external resource on matters related to hematology oncology and BMT.
- Provide expertise and guidance to internal teams and external partners on clinical best practices, emerging trends, and industry developments.
Public Speaking and Thought Leadership:
- Comfortably engage in public speaking engagements to represent the organization and share insights on hematology oncology and BMT at conferences, meetings, and events.
- Demonstrate thought leadership through presentations, panels and roundtables to influence practice change and promote innovative approaches to patient care.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders from patient and provider services, marketing, enablement, research, and data teams to support partnership initiatives and align efforts.
Education and Research Influence:
- Influence and contribute to the development of educational materials and summaries of impactful research findings in hematology oncology and BMT.
- Present educational content and research summaries to internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry audiences to drive awareness and understanding.
Partnership Management Documentation:
- Maintain thorough documentation of partnership management activities, including leads, contacts, and account information/insights.
- Track and report on key metrics and outcomes related to partnership initiatives to assess effectiveness and inform future strategies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- Advanced degree (NP, or PA).
- Minimum of 5 years of direct clinical experience caring for patients with hematologic malignancies and undergoing transplant.
- In-depth understanding of the clinical pathways and management of patients with hematologic malignancies and those undergoing transplantation. Including familiarity with donor selection, conditioning regimens, post-transplant care and graft-versus-host disease management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence practice change and drive alignment around shared goals within complex healthcare environments.
- Self-directed, comfortable navigating ambiguity, working independently, and adapting to change.
- Experience developing and implementing educational initiatives and providing thought leadership in clinical settings.
- Results driven, strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for partnership and innovation to improve patient care delivery.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of advancements in hematology oncology and BMT.
- Active engagement in professional development activities, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand knowledge and expertise.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)
- Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
- Experience managing strategic partnerships within healthcare or life sciences.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
